The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, will present the New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2006. This year marks its 25th anniversary. Showcasing new international films, American independent features, experimental and short subjects, classic revivals, and documentaries, the fall festival will feature more than 35 film screenings. The festival will run from September 8 through November 19.

More than 20 films will have their New Jersey, Middlesex County or Rutgers premiere screenings. Some of the most interesting films include: David Guggenheim’s “An Inconvenient Truth” featuring Al Gore; the Brothers Quay’s highly anticipated new live action feature “The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes”; Michael Apted’s “49 UP,” the seventh film in a series of landmark documentaries; Jan Svankmajer’s newest surreal film “Lunacy”; and Emmanuel Carriere’s compelling psychological mystery "La Moustache"; and many others.
