Taking vows at Rutgers’ Kirkpatrick Chapel

When President Richard L. McCormick and Joan C. Barry were married July 22 in the Kirkpatrick Chapel, the couple followed a storied Rutgers tradition. Kirkpatrick weddings began in the late 1940s at the rate of two or three per year, increasing to 114 last year.

New CD spotlights the life and music of Benjamin Franklin

Craig Ritz, aquatics director of the Golden Dome Athletic Center on the Newark campus, got the Sonny Werblin pool in Piscataway up and running. A few years later, he opened up Newark’s pool. He has spent his life keeping swimmers and boaters safe – and passing on his wisdom.
