At the senate

The University Senate took the following actions at its September 29, 2006 meeting:

Staff senator elected to executive committee   Gayle Stein, an associate director in the Office of Instructional and Research Technology in Piscataway, was elected to serve as the staff representative on the Senate’s executive committee. The executive committee is chaired by chemistry professor Martha Cotter, who also chairs the Senate. The 13-member committee sets the senate agendas, and assigns tasks to the senate's standing committees. In addition to Stein and the senate chair and vice chair, six faculty, three students, and one alumni representative sit on the executive committee. This is the first year that Rutgers staff members have served on the senate; 10 staff senators were elected over the summer. Click here for more information.
