Congressman tours facilities at School of Environmental and Biological Sciences
On February 5, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone of the 6th Congressional District visited the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Pallone and Dean Robert Goodman toured the COOL Room at the Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences and met with faculty in the Food Sciences Department at the Center for Advanced Food Technology. The congressman just became chair of the Health Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and is a senior member of the Resources Committee. He visited Rutgers to learn more about the university’s expertise in environmental and food safety issues.
