Alan Rosenthal, a professor at the Eagleton Institute of Politics, said he thrived at Rutgers for 40 years because of the tolerance and encouragement of successive administrations. Rosenthal and 12 other faculty members were recently honored for their four decades of service at the annual Faculty Service Recognition Program.
