Rutgers dedicates new nursing building in New Brunswick

The College of Nursing at Rutgers is ready to better serve the 250 undergraduate students at its New Brunswick Campus, dedicating a new, 18,000-square-foot building.

The three-story building in downtown New Brunswick provides modern classrooms, faculty offices, a lecture hall, an expanded clinical learning laboratory, and examination rooms. It replaces two older facilities on the university’s College Avenue Campus. Full Story

Stringer to be inducted into basketball hall of fame

IN A CLASS OF THEIR OWN NBA great Michael Jordan joins Rutgers head women’s basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer as the two were named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2009 during festivities surrounding the men’s Final Four in Detroit. Other inductees this year include NBA players David Robinson and John Stockton and Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame celebrates basketball at every level worldwide – professional, collegiate, men and women. Stringer is also enshrined at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.   Full Story
