The Office of Media Relations handles external communications and serves as the official source of information on behalf of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

The office is a primary point of contact for members of the news media requesting interviews with university personnel or seeking information about administrative, academic or student matters.

The office’s professional staff promotes the academic, scientific and scholarly achievements of the university, its faculty and students to broad audiences across the state, region and world.

The office also administers Find an Expert, a searchable database of faculty and staff members who can speak with the media on specific topics.

In addition to managing external communications, Media Relations publishes the Rutgers FOCUS, an online publication for faculty and staff, and Research Highlights, a compilation of articles and information for the public on recent research advances at Rutgers.
