Announcing the New Associate Chancellor for Enrollment Management (Aug. 23, 2010)
To the Campus Community:
At the conclusion of an exhaustive search, I am pleased to report that Rodney Morrison has accepted the critical position of associate chancellor for enrollment management. He will assume his new duties on Sept. 1.
In this position, Rodney will lead the campus’s efforts to recruit and help to retain undergraduate and graduate students. He will oversee the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid, and will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders to connect top students with the extraordinary value of the Rutgers–Camden experience in ever-increasing numbers.
Rodney brings deep and varied experiences to his new role at Rutgers–Camden. He most recently served as director of admissions at Mount Saint Mary College. He also has served as associate director of MBA admissions at the Wharton School; senior admissions officer and director of minority recruitment at the University of Pennsylvania; vice president of global diversity recruiting at Lehman Brothers; and director of the MBA preparation program at Management Leadership for Tomorrow in New York.
Rodney is a graduate of the University of Rochester, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in history and his master’s degree in education. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the KIPP Philadelphia Charter School and has served as class reunion co-chair for the Germantown Academy.
Please join me in welcoming Rodney Morrison to Rutgers–Camden, and in offering him every assistance as we all work together on matters related to enrollment management.
I also would like to thank the search committee for its thorough efforts. This complex recruitment process was thoughtful and inclusive at every stage, and the members deserve our collective appreciation. I specifically wish to commend Mary Beth Daisey (associate chancellor, student affairs) for chairing this search and for doing so with the good humor and genuine commitment to collaboration that are defining attributes of our campus community.
Wendell E. Pritchett
Chancellor
