Rutgers–Camden Student Career Fair Opens Doors in Tough Job Market

March 30, 2009

CAMDEN - An annual spring career fair at Rutgers University—Camden will give students an entryway into the flooded job market noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.

According to Jim Marino, director of the Rutgers–Camden Campus Center, while the number of participating employers is lower than previous fairs, this event will still provide a wide range of opportunities for job seekers.

Participating employers include Campbell Soup, CSC, Macy’s and Independence Blue Cross.

No matter the job market, Marino’s advice for graduating seniors is the same: “take advantage of every and any opportunity to speak with employers.”

“Soon-to-be grads should visit their career centers now for a multitude of opportunities, like connections to employers and resources for life in the working world. The market will continue to be highly competitive for college graduates for many months to come,” says Marino.

The spring career fair will take place in the Main Lounge of the Campus Center, located on Third Street, between Cooper Street and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on the Rutgers–Camden Campus.
