The program will present a comprehensive analysis of the “Great Recession” and the government’s ongoing plans to stabilize the U.S. economy, stem job losses and accelerate economic recovery and opportunity. Erica Groshen, a leading expert in the effects of recession on employment, will analyze America’s troubled economy and labor market, and discuss the Federal Reserve’s role in responding to the crisis. Professors Rodgers, Glickman and Van Horn will explore the economic, social and political impact of high, long-term unemployment on the nation’s workforce and communities. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers’ Edward J.
