Rutgers Housing & Residence Life, Local Elementary Schools Team Up For Monster Mash Halloween Celebration on Oct. 26

WHAT: Ninth annual free Halloween Monster Mash, a collaborative community service event hosted by Rutgers University Residence Life on the Cook Campus of Rutgers University. This year will be the largest yet, with activities happening in the gymnasium and racquetball courts, as well as a large activity tent outside.Monster Mash 2012

WHEN: Friday, Oct. 26, 6 to 9:30 p.m. 

WHERE: Cook/Douglass Recreation Center Gymnasium, 50 Biel Road, New Brunswick. Parking with shuttle transportation to the C/D Recreation Center will be in lot 98 B on College Farm Road and Lot 97 on Dudley Road.

BACKGROUND: The Halloween Monster Mash is a community outreach event that provides an alternative “trick-or-treat” experience for elementary school children in New Brunswick and Piscataway. Various student organizations at Rutgers set up fun activities tables for the young visitors and reward their efforts with treats. Activities include pumpkin painting, crafts, costume contest, and relay races.

Monster Mash is sponsored by Rutgers Housing and Residence Life, Residence Hall Association-Cook/Douglass Campus Council and supported by Rutgers Recreation.
