Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County Hosts Horticultural Job Fair Feb. 5, 6

January 24, 2005

NEW BRUNSWICK/PISCATAWAY, N.J. Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County and the South Jersey Landscape Association will hold a Horticultural Job Fair Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5 and 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology. The institute is in Mays Landing at 5080 Atlantic Ave., off Route 40, in the Hamilton Business Park. The nearest bus stop is in front of the business park at Atlantic and 19th avenues.

Representatives from about 30 businesses, including landscapers, golf courses, tree care specialists and environmental firms will be recruiting for entry-level and experienced full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

Regardless of Sundays weather conditions, exhibitors will hold four outdoor demonstrations. Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes and to dress appropriately for outdoor work to show their skills.

Registration is $5 or free with student ID. For more information, call Jenny Carleo or Dawn Kaufman at (609) 625-0056.
