International Studies Fair to Help Students Study Abroad
Since 1985, the International Studies program at Rutgers–Camden has helped approximately 2,000 students from Rutgers and other institutions study in more than 30 countries.
By supplementing on-campus seminars with short periods of study abroad -- usually seven to 10 days -- our courses offer students a better world perspective and a first-hand knowledge of subject matter. All study tours are listed in the Schedule of Courses for the Spring.
During spring 2010, the program will sponsor five study tours, with academic credit available in 11 subject areas: Art History, Criminal Justice, English, French, Latin-American Studies, Liberal Studies, Management, Marketing, Photography, Psychology, and Sociology. The trips will go to such places as Paris, South Africa, China, Egypt, India, Ireland, Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam. Depending on the course, travel occurs during the Winterim session; over the Spring Break, or after final exams in May.
Instructors will be available to answer questions and provide detailed information about the tours and the courses at the annual International Studies Fair, during noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2. The event will be held in the main lounge of the Campus Center.
