Come Learn More During April 19’s Campus-Wide Open House

(Newark, NJ, March 19, 2008) – If you're planning to start undergraduate studies in the fall, want to earn a masters or doctoral degree, or would like to transfer into Rutgers University in Newark from another institution, mark April 19 on your calendar. That’s when Rutgers-Newark will host its annual campus-wide open house on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

The April 19 open house will be a one –stop source of information academic programs offered by: the Newark College of Arts and Sciences, University College-Newark, the Graduate School-Newark, the Rutgers College of Nursing, the Rutgers School of Law-Newark, the Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick, the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice, the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration and the School of Social Work.

Prospective students and their families, as well as newly admitted students, can take walking tours of the campus, including academic buildings, laboratories, the student center, recreational facilities, and residence halls.  Visitors can attend informational sessions about academic programs, campus services, student services and financial aid, as well as visit with representatives of academic departments and learn about extracurricular activities.

The Rutgers-Newark campus is wheelchair-accessible. Rutgers‑Newark can be reached by New Jersey Transit buses and trains, the PATH train and Amtrak from New York City, and by the Newark Light Rail.
