Suzanne Pures Named Assistant Dean of Development
Moorestown resident Suzanne Lynn Pures has been named assistant dean of development at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University—Camden.
In this new position, Pures will provide the leadership, strategic direction, management, and coordination for major gift fundraising in support of Rutgers—Camden and the university. She will identify and cultivate major donors to benefit the students, faculty, staff, and programs at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers—Camden. In addition, Pures will represent the Camden campus as a director of development for the Rutgers University Foundation.
Most recently, Pures served as associate director of major gifts at the Lawrenceville School, where she managed the school’s bicentennial campaign and managed hundreds of prospective donors. Previously, she served as assistant to the vice president of development at Princeton University and coordinator of institutional research at Saint Joseph’s University.
“Suzanne Pures has a proven track record of success in encouraging and nurturing investments that benefit students, institutions, and entire communities,” says Michael Palis, interim dean of the Rutgers—Camden Faculty of Arts and Sciences. “We are confident that her efforts will produce new opportunities for our students, faculty, staff, and graduates, as well as the organizations that we serve here in New Jersey and across the nation.”
Pures received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was honored as the Daily Pennsylvanian’s Female Athlete of the Year for field hockey. She also received her master’s degree in experimental psychology in 1997 and an MBA in 2002 from Saint Joseph’s University.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers—Camden is the campus’ largest academic unit, offering a wide array of comprehensive degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.
