The Myth of Winter and Greek Poetry to be Discussed at Rutgers–Camden's Cappuccino Academy

CAMDEN – Poet and artist Zaharati Morfesis will present “The Goddess Persephone and the Myth of Winter” during Rutgers–Camden’s Cappuccino Academy at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.

An alumna of the graduate liberal studies program at Rutgers–Camden, Morfesis recently published her poems in the anthology Pomegranate Seeds: An Anthology of Greek-American Poetry, from which she will read during Cappuccino Academy.

In addition to poetry, Morfesis studies Greek mythology, palmistry, astrology, and numerology. Her one-woman show "Persephone and Hades" has been performed at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts.

A resident of Haddon Township, Morfesis works in faculty support services at the Rutgers School of Law—Camden.

The free reading will be held at Barnes & Noble, located at 200 West Route 70 in Marlton.
