Rutgers–Camden Honors W.E.B. Du Bois and NAACP Centennial
CAMDEN – The Rutgers–Camden African American Studies Program will celebrate the centennial anniversary of the founding of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People with a free lecture on Monday, Feb. 23
At 12:15 p.m., Dr. Wayne Glasker, an associate professor of history at Rutgers–Camden, where he directs the African American Studies Program, will present “The Prophetic Voice of W.E.B. Du Bois.”
Glasker is the author of the book Black Students in the Ivory Tower: African American Student Activism at the University of Pennsylvania, 1967-1190.
The free event will take place in the room 121 of Armitage Hall. The building is located on Fifth Street, between Cooper Street and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on the Rutgers–Camden Campus.
