For Immediate Release
CAMDEN -- The Rutgers School of Business–Camden has named Robert J. Truitt, retired president of the beverage can division of the Crown Cork & Seal Company, as the 2009 Executive-in-Residence.
“Our search for a 2009 Executive-in-Residence could not have resulted in finding a better or more ideal business leader than Robert Truitt,” says Gene Pilotte, vice dean at Rutgers School of Business–Camden. “His leadership, vision, and determination were instrumental in helping to build Crown Cork & Seal as a major global manufacturer and the world’s largest rigid packaging company.
“We are honored to have Mr. Truitt apply his vision on behalf of Rutgers–Camden’s business programs in 2009. In these challenging economic times, the insight of prominent business leaders such as Mr. Truitt will be of great help to Rutgers’ undergraduate and MBA students as they prepare to apply their classroom learning in the workplace.”
In this role at Rutgers, Truitt will contribute his expert perspective to help shape effective professional development programming for undergraduate and MBA students. He will work directly with Rutgers School of Business students through a series of career development workshops, and will teach the course Multinational Business during the fall 2009 semester. He also will participate in public events offered by the Rutgers School of Business–Camden.
Truitt has participated in the annual Guest Business Professors Week at the Rutgers School of Business for more than 12 years.
