Rutgers-Camden MBA Students Earn Executive Women of New Jersey Awards

September 25, 2009

For Immediate Release

CAMDEN --  Mount Laurel resident Eva Kwan and Lumberton resident  Kendra L. Biggi, both students in the master of business administration (MBA) program at the Rutgers School of Business–Camden, have received awards from the Executive Women of New Jersey professional organization.

The EWNJ annually presents merit awards to applicants pursuing graduate-level degrees at New Jersey accredited colleges and universities in order to further their careers.  The association particularly seeks to assist non-traditional students who may be returning to their studies several years after completing their undergraduate degree.

Kwan, 29, received an Executive Women of New Jersey Graduate Merit Award and a Syms Foundation Award, both presented by the EWNJ.  A strategic planner with Lockheed Martin, she received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2001.  Kwan expects to complete her Rutgers MBA in 2010.

Biggi, 37, is the recipient of an Executive Women of New Jersey Graduate Merit Award.  As the computing and network infrastructure integrated product team leader for the USCG Deepwater Program at Lockheed Martin, she leads a 26-engineer team that designs, integrates, and sustains the computing and network infrastructure on the U.S. Coast Guard national security cutters and other USCG ship and air assets.

A 1994 graduate of Virginia Tech, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Biggi is a native of Clarksville, Md., where her parents, Betty and Ken Pramik, live.  She resides in Lumberton with her husband, Brian, and their children:  Jared, 11; Jocelyn, 9; Bethany, 8; Benjamin, 6; and Annika, 3.

The first internationally accredited business school in southern New Jersey, the Rutgers School of Business–Camden delivers a master of business administration (MBA) program with flexible options for career-minded students on either a part-time or full-time basis.  Courses are taught on the Rutgers–Camden Campus, as well as in Mount Laurel and Mays Landing.  For more information, visit business.camden.rutgers.edu.
