Water Scarcity in China, Myanmar Underscores Global Crisis (Rutgers-Camden Expert)
Disasters in China and Myanmar are calling attention to a looming crisis of global proportion: the steadily increasing scarcity of drinking water in underdeveloped nations and, to some degree, in such industrialized nations as the United States.
JENNY KEHL is an assistant professor of political science at Rutgers University—Camden. Her research examines global development and resource utilization. She will teach a new course, “Resource Scarcity and National Security,” when Rutgers—Camden debuts its undergraduate minor in national security, intelligence, and counter-terrorism studies this fall.
Kehl can discuss the mounting global water crisis, and can address the specific situations manifesting in China and Myanmar.
