Cheer the Men's Soccer Team to NJAC Playoff Victory on Friday, Nov. 7!

November 06, 2008

The men’s soccer team has advanced to the NJAC finals.  The road to the NCAA championship begins with an away game against Montclair State University at 7 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 7.

Show your support for the Scarlet Raptors!  Wear red on Friday, Nov. 7, and cheer the team as they board the bus to leave campus at 2:45 p.m.  The bus will depart from Lot 12 on Third Street.

After cheering, feed your Rutgers pride with free pizza and other fun in the main lounge of the Campus Center at 3 p.m.

Want to be part of the game time excitement?  A “fan bus” is available free of charge for Rutgers—Camden students only and will depart campus from Lot 14 on Third Street at 4:15 p.m.  Advance registration is required for students wishing to take this Rutgers bus.  Register at the athletics table in the lobby of the Campus Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, and Friday, Nov. 7.

The Rutgers—Camden men’s soccer team earned its way into the NJAC playoffs when the third-seeded Scarlet Raptors bested second-seeded Stockton College in a 2-1 match on Nov. 4.

The victory was the 16th of the season for the Scarlet Raptors and set a program record. The trip to the NJAC title game will be the second in the history of the men’s soccer team, which will square off against top-seeded Montclair State.

The game will be played on Sprague Field at Montclair State University.  Directions are online.  Admission is $5/$2 for students and senior citizens.
