Eric Lam, director of the Biotechnology Center for Agriculture and the Environment and a professor in the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology, is creating a new way to fight infectious disease through an innovative approach to disease prevention using RNA therapeutics and transgenic tomatoes.

Ilya Raskin, a member of Rutgers’ Biotechnology Center for Agriculture and the Environment and a professor in the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology, is leading an effort to discover new drugs derived from botanical sources to treat malaria.
