Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Owens as director of alumni relations for the Camden Campus.

Scott is well known on campus for his role within the Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions during the past eight years and has served as assistant director for the last three years. In this position, Scott collaborated on a number of programs with the alumni office and helped to increase undergraduate enrollment from key southern New Jersey markets.  He has created new marketing materials and built new data-reporting tools that allow for strategic analysis of Rutgers–Camden’s recruitment goals.

A two-time Rutgers–Camden graduate – he has an MPA from the Graduate School and a BA in political science from CCAS – Scott has volunteered as chair of the Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association’s Alumni Ambassador and Volunteer Program.

Scott’s first day in his new position will be Monday, May 13.  He will be located in the alumni relations office at 411 Cooper Street.  Please join us in offering our congratulations and full support to Scott as the campus engages with its passionate and active graduates and the entire Rutgers University Alumni Association.

As we welcome Scott to his new role, we want to thank Lisa English and the staff of the Rutgers–Camden alumni office for their extra effort over the last few months as we sought to fill this position. We also are grateful to the volunteer committee of Camden alumni who helped us to interview and select candidates for this important role. Their input was an invaluable part of this process.
