WHAT: An Imagined Rutgers: The Urban Civic Model: A New Chancellor, A Strategic Plan, The Future
This is a public meeting to discuss a civic engagement model being developed as part of Chancellor Nancy Cantor’s vision of what a modern urban university should be.  This model is being developed collaboratively as part of the Strategic Planning that is currently underway at Rutgers University-Newark under Cantor’s new leadership.

WHEN: April 1, 6-8 p.m.

WHERE: The Paul Robeson Gallery, main floor, Paul Robeson Campus Center, 350 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Newark, NJ 07102

WHO: Open to students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the greater Newark community.

WHY: Modern urban universities such as Rutgers University-Newark are investing their knowledge capital in the city and region in which they are based.  Rutgers University-Newark is examining the ways it is, and should be, contributing to the social and intellectual well-being as well as the civic character and economic growth of the city and region for the benefit of residents and the university community.
