Annual 32-hour fundraiser has raised over $3.1 million for children with cancer
WHAT: The 15th annual Rutgers University Dance Marathon.
WHEN: Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: College Avenue Gym, 130 College Avenue, New Brunswick, N.J.
WHO: Nearly 1000 student volunteers will stay awake and on their feet for 32 hours to show their support for local families impacted by childhood cancers. Embrace Kids Foundation families will also be on hand to share their personal stories.
About Rutgers' Dance Marathon
The Rutgers University Dance Marathon is a 32-hour student-run philanthropic event that unites the university community to increase awareness of childhood cancers and blood disorders. It is a university-wide tradition comprised of volunteers who are committed to service, leadership development and fun. Rutgers' Dance Marathon has raised over $3.1 million for children with cancer over the past 14 years. The event is the top contributor to the Embrace Kids Foundation, a New Brunswick-based organization dedicated to supporting the non-medical needs of children with cancer.
About Embrace Kids Foundation
Embrace Kids Foundation is committed to relieving emotional, spiritual and financial concerns caused by childhood cancers. The foundation provides non-medical services to New Jersey children and families through family programs and support services at absolutely no cost to families. Child patients range in age from infancy to young adulthood and encompass all ethnic and social backgrounds.
